The financial sector is a major driver of the climate crisis, with too little investment going towards financing a just, green transition. The UK is a globally important country in the world of finance, and in the next few years there is a regulatory window of opportunity to make the sector more climate-friendly. However, there are significant barriers to overcome, including well-organized lobby efforts against regulatory change.
Finance Innovation Lab
Finance Innovation Lab has set out to leverage the collective power of those pushing for a green transformation of the UK financial system, by coordinating a broad network of allies with joint approaches to policy, advocacy, campaigning, and communications. The aim is to persuade decision-makers in the next UK government that it is necessary, effective, and popular to take strong action to align UK finance with climate goals.
