KR Foundation launches 2016 Annual Report and donates DKK 36m to 18 new climate projects
At its meeting on 26 April, KR Foundation launched its 2016 Annual Report and made grants to 18 new projects targeting climate change and environmental degradation.
KR Foundation donated a total of DKK 36m within its current program areas:
- Sustainable Finance projects accounted for a total of DKK 16m. The organisation urgewald received DKK 3.7m for the project “Cutting off Bank Finance to Coal Plant Developers” – read more about the project here
- DKK 10m was granted to Sustainable Behaviour projects. The Democracy Center was awarded DKK 2.8m for the project “From the Ground Up: Strengthening Active Citizenship on Climate Change” – for more on this project, click here
- And DKK 10m was granted to Other Interventions. The project “Young Climate Journalist Leadership Program” by Climate Tracker received DKK 0.6m – read more about the project
On 26 April, KR Foundation hosted a reception for the founders and donors of KR Foundation, briefing them about the Foundation’s work.
